BUY A BRICK! - VPSF BRICK CAMPAIGN

Virginia Public Safety Foundation’s Brick Campaign

Campaign Deadline: March 13, 2025

Located at the Commonwealth Public Safety Memorial near the Patrick Henry and State Capitol buildings, this campaign offers an opportunity to honor loved ones, commemorate coworkers, and celebrate milestones in a meaningful and lasting way through the purchase of an inscribed brick. Proceeds from the brick campaign will support the mission of the Foundation.

Inscription Guidelines:

$250 per 4x8 inscribed brick (fully tax-deductible)

Text will be engraved in all capital letters.

Each brick can accommodate up to three lines of text, with a maximum of 14 characters per line. Letters, punctuation, and spaces all count toward the 14-character limit.

The Board of Directors will review all inscription requests made by donors to ensure that they are respectful and appropriate. The Virginia Public Safety Foundation reserves the right to deny any inscription that does not conform to the stated standards.

We welcome individuals, schools, school groups, State of Virginia governmental entities, businesses, corporations, foundations, and private organizations to request an inscribed brick with a donation of $250. All inscriptions must fit within the established character limit and may include:

  • Legal name of an individual (or a portion of the individual’s legal name)

  • Nickname of an individual, only if the nickname is used consistently in their professional life (quotes may be used around the nickname)

  • Name prefixes and suffixes: academic, honorary, social, and professional titles, including military titles and ranks for branches of the United States Military. Style will comply with guidelines established in Emily Post’s Etiquette, 17th Edition.

  • Name of the school or school unit (may include an abbreviation of the name or portion of the name), as well as the name of the official school mascot

  • “In honor of” or “In memory of”

  • Year(s) of service or birth/death years

  • Punctuation marks and special characters will count toward the 14-character limit.
